Cara Delevingne

One of my fashion role models is Cara Delevingne, I love her look, smoky eyes, full lips and long blonde hair. I love her grungy, rock and roll style, she always wears things like leather jackets and chunky biker boots. I always think she looks really edgy and stylish. From the video you can tell she is so energetic and bubbly, and I love how she plays Call of Duty!

Geek Chic? Or just Geek?

netaporter.com
I really want this Proenza Schouler jumper, it's not my usual style but I think its adorable and I love the colours! I really like it paired with black shorts and boots, it looks really cute and preppy. It's great for keeping you warm during those cold, rainy winter days, who says fashion can't be practical every now and then?

Continuing with my knitwear obsession:
I love this one from Sandro! It would look great with denim shorts in the autumn, and then a black skirt/shorts in the winter. This one is more fitted, which i like, and I think the colours are quite cute too!

Ten things I want for A/W:

  1. chunky/oversized knit
  2. skinny jeans, maybe maroon
  3. anything with a peter pan collar
  4. boyfriend blazer
  5. leather/shearling jacket
  6. sheer dress/skirt, possibly maxi
  7. flat ankle boots, maybe a sort of biker style
  8. snakeskin accessory of some kind, probably shoes
  9. lots of sheer tops and shirts!
  10. a big cosy scarf to keep me nice and warm!
To be honest this list will probably constantly change, depending on my whims and my mood! For some reason I'm feeling grungy right now, have the urge to break out of my usual pretty, preppy style and go more bohemian, I'm thinking chunky knits, sheer maxi dresses and ankle boots! I've never really done it before but for some reason the comfort side of grunge is just so appealing! However it's not my usual style so I wonder if I actually will try it or if it will just remain an idea inside my head...

Maroon

maroon

I'm seeing maroon everywhere at the moment, and it's definitely one the main colours I will be wearing this winter. This warm hue is perfect for A/W, it reminds me of the colour of the leaves when they fall off the trees, or mulled wine on a cold winter night. Here are a few things I've seen that are perfect for Autumn, I have my eye on some maroon skinny jeans, and I've completely fallen in love with the PS11! But obviously don't go head to toe, you don't want to look like someone's just drenched you in red wine!

Mini Trend: Peter Pan Collar

This is my take on the peter pan collar trend this season, this is quite a preppy take on the peter pan collar, opposed to the usual 60's style you see in some of the magazines at the moment!

A/W Trend Number 2: Androgyny

"I think there's something incredibly sexy about a woman wearing her boyfriend's T-shirt and underwear." -Calvin Klein
Androgyny was another of the major trends on the catwalk this year, models donned oversized blazers, bow ties, trilby hats, tuxedos, waistcoats and white shirts. At Chanel we saw oversized trousers paired with black boots, whereas at Dolce and Gabbana the look was more tailored, with a fitted white shirt tucked into tapered black trousers and finished off with thin black braces. Whether you want to go all out or just subtly nod to the trend with brogues and an oversized blazer, keep hair and make-up simple to achieve the perfect androgynous look.

A/W trend number 1: Forties

The 40's took the catwalks by storm this season, long hemlines and high necklines created an elegant, ladylike look. They were teamed with tweed or old fashioned floral/bird prints in muted colours, mainly: greys, nudes, navy and maroons. With the occasional appearance of peter pan collars and thick, luxurious fur. Finish the look off with big sunglasses and bold lip colours- and a beehive if you dare...

Here are some looks I ripped out from magazines:
